QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect priorities and open defect numbers, Critical issues, showstoppers, etc.)

The QA engineer role plays an important part in Quest’s IT. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before our products and CRM platforms launch to production and to ensure apps run smoothly and meet business needs.

Ultimately, the QA Engineer should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards and business needs based on requirements provided.


  • Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities.
  • Creating Test Cycles or Suites based on groups of Test Cases depending on business needs.
  • Reporting bugs in a timely matter of defects round during test executions.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools if needed per business.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs on different tools like JIRA, Test Director, Test Rails, etc.
  • Perform Regression testing cycles.
  • Perform SIT (System Integration Testing) to verify new product releases meet with other system’s needs.
  • Work as liaison with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor debugging process results and retesting after fixes.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance or Developer.
  • Experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Strategies, debugging, white box testing, black box testing, etc.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with coding using C++, JAVA, C#, XML, Python, etc.
  • Experience with software QA testing tools.
  • Knowledge in Salesforce (SFDC) testing or dev. This is a must.
  • English and Spanish language proficiency.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Team player.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred skills:

  • ISTQB certified tester.
  • SFDC certified.
  • Knowledge in JIRA.
  • Knowledge in Siebel.
  • Knowledge in Test Rails or similar testing tools like Test Director, FogBugz, etc.
