The International School of Panama operates under the license of the Ministry of Education of Panama and is accredited by AdvancED. As an authorized IB World School, we offer the International Baccalaureate Program (IB) for students in grades 11 and 12. In addition, we offer the unique Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate and AdvancED certified STEM programs.
ISP DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS
We seek a dynamic, creative, open-minded, innovative leader with outstanding business vision and strategic planning skills. The DFO is responsible for fiscal oversight, ensuring that the financial affairs of the school are conducted in a manner consistent with the school's mission, values ??and policies, and long-term objectives as prescribed by the School Board and the Strategic Plan.
It also provides leadership in the areas of accounting, budget development, financial planning, building maintenance, transportation, security and food services, under the direct supervision of the School Director.
Development, implementation, and monitoring of our Financial Strategic Plan including pricing, budgeting, fiscal compliance, investment, fixed assets, resource management, and a financial model for sustainability.
Oversight of school's physical plant and resources by assisting the coordination and implementation of a strategic building plan with the Board, Director and Finance Committee.
Oversee all business aspects of the ISP security and transportation operations including service delivery, outsourced contracts, and budget.
Ensure high quality of the Cafeteria and School Food Service Operations in an organized and efficient manner, guaranteeing fiscal and financial compliance in the operations.
Educational & Experiential Competency Parameters
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant discipline
5-7 years of relevant experience in similar positions
Experience in strategic planning and providing high-level advice for fiscal compliance in a large complex organization.
Experience in successful management of complex stakeholder relationships, both within and outside the organization.
Knowledge of finance technology and operational systems, and the development and implementation of finance and operational policies and procedures in a large organization
Excellent oral and written Spanish and English language skills
