Position Summary:

To provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the department or office.





Reporting Line and Organizational Structure:

This position reports to Middle School Principal & Middle School Assistant Principal

Organizational Accountabilities:

ISP is committed to the health, safety, and well-being of its students and staff. ISP also expects staff to comply with its policy and procedures that relate to statutory requirements and best practices outlined but not limited to the ISP Staff Handbook. Of particular importance are the policies related to Child Protection and Inclusion and Diversity.

Appointees are accountable for completing available training on these matters and ensuring that their knowledge and the knowledge of their staff is up to date.





Key Accountabilities




    • To provide administrative support to administrators, teachers, staff, students, and parents in order to ensure the efficient operation of the middle school program

 

    • Ensure that all middle school administrative procedures and policies are followed.

 

    • Ensure that all calls are properly received and forward, if required, to the designated person or persons.

 

    • Deliver messages from administrators, parents, students, teachers, and staff in a timely manner. 

 

    • Coordinate schedules and assignments for substitute teachers.

 

    • Provide substitute teachers with their written assignment, schedule and classroom information.

 

    • In the absence of a substitute teacher, reschedule teachers in order to provide coverage to all classes.

 

    • Organize and coordinate principal and teachers’ meetings.

 

    • Process incoming inquiries and work requests.

 

    • Report all irregularities to maintenance, security and/or administrators. 

 

    • Provide assistance with student dismissal, tardy passes, and transportation permission slips.

 

    • Coordinate logistical support for all middle school activities with maintenance, technology department, teachers, students, cafeteria, etc.

 

    • Purchase general and office supplies for the middle school program.

 

    • Ensure that all general and office supplies are properly inventoried and distributed.

 

    • Receive, sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing correspondence such as but not limited to, progress, reports, MAP test result.  

 

    • Prepare an informational and instructional binder for staff for each school year.

 

    • Provide student schedules and class rosters as needed. 

 

    • Provide assistance with new student orientation, open house, and other similar activities.

 

    • Coordinate the parent-teacher conference.

 

    • Prepare student guides for new students and parents.

 

    • Maintain and update information board in the workroom for faculty and staff.




 


. Requisitos:

Essentials:




    1. Two years of college preferred, or HS Diploma

 

    1. Two years of previous experience

 

    1. Excellent oral and written Spanish and English language skills 

 

    1. Computer literate: MS platform and School Management platforms

 

    1. High level of proficiency in computer skills
