The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.Typical internal customers include employees from two or more work groups in a Division. External customers include seven Dealers and their customers in the Caribbean and Northern South America.
The position travels extensively; at least one full week each month.
Qualifications
The position requires thorough knowledge of company products, product applications and merchandising programs. The position typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience. In addition, six to eight years of progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
Requires excellent commercial and technical skills; thorough knowledge of Caterpillar products and their technical aspects and applications; good background in engineering obtained through a college degree or the equivalent, and experience with Caterpillar product applications.
Desirable Qualifications
Spanish language ability is desirable. Familiarity with the territory from a previous assignment or past travel to the territory. Prior work experience in Global Mining involving dealer/customer-facing experience.
